Video Alchemist, Cinephile, Photographer. Kaya Hacaloglu was born in 1975 Ankara, Turkey. He is s a graduate of Cinema studies from the University of Hartford. He has worked within the field of video with various artists coming from disciplines such as literature, poetry, music, painting, performance; experimenting around practices of live-cinema, video-poem, and video-painting. His themes and compositions underline an array of feelings, of a pensive time, and suggest on the fragmentation of the finite linearity of this fragile and “tactile” medium.
